After doing intensive research and finding evidence that that infamous “clobber passages” in the Bible are mistranslations, this post was an effective way for me to air out my mixed emotions.
Eli Fritchley was an innocent 12-year-old kid who was bullied to death by his peers for being openly gay. When “Christianity” is used as the excuse for malice, “Christians” fail Jesus’ loving message.
This was a rapid-fire time of learning more about the truth behind the “clobber passages”, and understanding that we’ve really been made to be a scapegoat by the Religious Right.
Christian partiality against the LGBTQ+ crowd is quite toxic, and there’s a Biblical warning against partiality that we should all pay heed to.
Even with all of the scorn against LGBTQ+ Christians, I never thought that I’d see somebody refer to an “ex-ex-gay” person’s heartbreaking testimony as a so-called “lopsided tale of woe”.
“Pray Away” is a brutally well-done Netflix documentary that exposes the suffering caused by “ex-gay therapy”.
After reading the 2nd Book of Enoch, I found a series of shocking revelations about the truth of the infamously named “clobber passages” in the Bible.
“Love the sinner, hate the sin” is one of the most worthless phrases ever spoken. It carries no real value when it’s only ever spoken against LGBTQ+ people living their lives in peace, and against nobody else.
Even parts of the LGBTQ+ community are guilty of accusing bisexual folk of being ingenuine. Bi-erasure shouldn’t even be a problem in our community.
God taught me through a few important dreams that some of my nastiest homophobes are actually guys like me, struggling with their sexuality. Praying for them helped me forgive them, and has been an ongoing lesson in humility.
