After doing intensive research and finding evidence that that infamous “clobber passages” in the Bible are mistranslations, this post was an effective way for me to air out my mixed emotions.
Eli Fritchley was an innocent 12-year-old kid who was bullied to death by his peers for being openly gay. When “Christianity” is used as the excuse for malice, “Christians” fail Jesus’ loving message.
For turbulent times, Psalm 107:29 has a soothing message about God calming the storms in our lives.

“Pray Away” is a brutally well-done Netflix documentary that exposes the suffering caused by “ex-gay therapy”.

“Love the sinner, hate the sin” is one of the most worthless phrases ever spoken. It carries no real value when it’s only ever spoken against LGBTQ+ people living their lives in peace, and against nobody else.

As Psalm 30:2 reminds us, God will always help us when we call on Him.
Laura Palmer is a tragically beautiful reminder of what it’s like to feel desolately alone, only to be reminded that with God, you’re never forsaken.
We’re never alone when we mourn, as Matthew 5:4 reminds us.
There’s a gentle lesson from the Marian apparitions in Medjugorje, Croatia, namely the importance of being freed from burdensome memories.
Even as a Methodist, I’ve had numerous dream encounters (and even powerful prayer moments) with the Blessed Virgin Mary.
